LIHE

How to Apply

Applying to LIHE is a short process, and you will not do it alone. Below is the path from first enquiry to your first day, the documents to have ready, and the people to ask when something is unclear.

How To Apply

From Enquiry To Enrolled.

The path is short and we walk it with you. Pick the one that applies to you to see the steps in order.

For students applying from outside Australia, or on another visa.

  1. Check you qualify

You will need to meet both the academic requirements for your course and LIHE's English language requirements.

  3. Accept your offer

Accept your Letter of Offer and settle the required payment. We then issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), the document your visa application is built on.

  4. Apply for your student visa

With your CoE and Overseas Student Health Cover in place, lodge a Student Visa (subclass 500) with the Department of Home Affairs.

Before you start

What to prepare

Having these ready before you open the application form is the single biggest thing you can do to speed up your offer.

  • Proof of who you are

A certified copy of your passport, and of your current visa if you are already in Australia.

  • Proof you meet the academic requirements

Academic transcripts, a statement of results, or a testamur from your previous study.

  • Proof of English

Your English test results, if you are applying as an international student.

  • Your study history in Australia

If you have studied here before, your latest transcript — it also determines whether advanced standing is available to you. Student visa holders should include a CoE and a release from their current provider.

  • Evidence of work experience

Where it is relevant to your application, with supporting letters naming your dates of employment.

  • Application Checklist

This is a summary — the full Application Checklist sets out exactly what is required.
