IT Support

Logins, passwords, email and wifi. Most problems on this page take under five minutes to fix yourself — and if yours does not, the support desk section tells you exactly what to send us so it gets fixed in one reply rather than four.

The systems you will use

Three systems, each doing a different job. If you are not sure which one you need, the guides below start from the problem rather than the system.

IT support desk

Email IT support.

A real person reads these during office hours. Include the details below and you will usually get it fixed in one reply.

it@lihe.edu.au

Include in your email

  • Your full name and student ID.
  • Which system you are trying to reach — email, eLearning or the portal.
  • The exact error message, word for word, or a screenshot of it.
  • What you have already tried, so nobody sends you back through steps that did not work.
  • The device and browser you are using, and whether it happens on another one.

Common problems

Pick the one that matches. If none of them do, email us — the details are in the support desk card above.

Logging in for the first time

Your credentials are issued after you accept your offer and enrol.

  1. Check your personal email for the welcome message from LIHE — it contains your sign-in details and a temporary password.
  2. Open the system you need — the three cards above link straight to each one — and sign in with the details in that message.
  3. Set a new password when prompted. Use something you have not used elsewhere, at least twelve characters long, and repeat this for each system you are asked to.
  4. Sign in to your student email straight away and check it works. From this point on, LIHE writes to you there.

No welcome message after 48 hours? Check your junk folder first, then email us — enrolment sometimes has to be finalised before accounts are created.
