Study Here. Live Here. Belong Here.
At LIHE, you'll study in the heart of Parramatta — Sydney's second CBD and one of Australia's most vibrant, connected and culturally diverse urban centres.
Where you study
One campus. At the heart of Parramatta.
Level 1, 37–39 George Street — a central Parramatta address surrounded by leading businesses, premium retail, dining, culture and transport. A location that puts you at the centre of it all.
Five minutes from Parramatta StationParramatta Station is just a five-minute walk from campus, giving you easy access to Sydney's CBD, Western Sydney and destinations across the wider Sydney network.
Small cohortsClasses are intentionally small, so your lecturers know your name, understand how you learn and are there when you need them. Ask questions, join the conversation and get answers in the room — not just by email.
A working city around youParramatta is a thriving business and employment hub, bringing major employers, professional services and growing industries close to campus.
Support on campusThe people who support your study are right here with you. Student Services, academic support and wellbeing support are available on campus, so when you need help, you can speak to someone who knows you — not navigate a call centre or wait for an answer from another city.

Living here
What it costs, and how you get around
Sydney is one of Australia's most exciting cities, and one of its more expensive. Planning for this before you arrive matters more than almost anything else you will do.
Weekly living expenses
AUD $450 – $700
Rent, food, transport, phone and internet, and everyday costs
The range depends on your lifestyle and the accommodation you choose. Study Australia publishes detailed guidance on living costs, and it is worth reading before you budget.
Getting around
Sydney runs an integrated network of trains, buses, ferries and light rail. You will need an Opal card, which works across all of them. Plan journeys at Transport NSW.
Opening a bank account
Bring your passport, your student visa and proof of address. Most major banks — Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, NAB and Westpac — offer student accounts.
Working while you study
Your Student Visa (subclass 500) sets conditions on how much you can work. Check them before you accept a job, and read the visa conditions section of the Student Handbook.
Your student card
Issued after you enrol. Carry it on campus, and use it for the concessions and discounts available to students.
When you need help
You're never expected to cope alone
From enrolment and fees to understanding your visa conditions, Student Support is here to help you navigate the practical side of studying in Australia. For personal, legal, financial or wellbeing matters, we can also connect you with free, independent support services available across Australia. The right support, when you need it.
