Is LIHE a Registered and Accredited Provider?

Luciano D’AmbrosiChief Executive Officer

If you're considering studying with Lead Institute of Higher Education (LIHE), one of the first questions worth asking is whether the institution is properly registered and whether its qualifications are genuinely accredited. The short answer is yes: LIHE is a registered Australian higher education provider, and its courses are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), the national regulator for higher education in Australia.

Here's what that means, and how you can check it for yourself.

LIHE's registration status

LIHE operates under the legal entity Education and Career Hub Pty Ltd, trading as Lead Institute of Higher Education. Its current entry on the TEQSA National Register shows the following:

  • TEQSA Provider ID: PRV14389
  • Registration category: Institute of Higher Education
  • Registration status: Registered
  • Registration renewal date: 24 May 2029
  • CRICOS Provider Code: 04342A
  • Self-accrediting authority: No

LIHE's accredited courses

TEQSA currently lists two LIHE courses as accredited, both without any current accreditation conditions:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration: Accredited, renewal date 24 April 2029
  • Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education: Accredited, renewal date 24 April 2029

What registration and accreditation actually mean

These terms are often used interchangeably, but they refer to three different things.

TEQSA registration means LIHE is legally permitted to operate as a higher education provider in Australia. Without it, an institution cannot offer higher education qualifications at all.

Course accreditation means each of LIHE's qualifications has been independently assessed by TEQSA against the Higher Education Standards Framework, which sets the benchmarks for course design, teaching quality, and student outcomes.

CRICOS registration means LIHE is approved to enrol international students who are studying in Australia on a student visa.

It's also worth noting that LIHE is not a self-accrediting provider. Some larger institutions, such as universities, can accredit their own courses. LIHE cannot, which means any new course it wants to offer as an accredited qualification must first be reviewed and approved by TEQSA. For students, that's an added layer of external oversight.

Are LIHE qualifications recognised?

Yes. LIHE's accredited qualifications are Australian higher education awards that sit within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), the national system that defines every recognised qualification in the country. Graduates receive a recognised Australian award, subject to meeting the normal requirements of their course.

If you're planning to work in a regulated profession, such as early childhood education, it's always a good idea to also confirm any separate professional registration or licensing requirements that apply in your state or field.

How to verify this yourself

You don't have to take anyone's word for it. You can confirm LIHE's status directly by searching for "Lead Institute of Higher Education" or provider ID PRV14389 on the TEQSA National Register, and by visiting the Accreditation and Regulatory Status page on LIHE's website.

The bottom line

LIHE is a TEQSA-registered Australian Institute of Higher Education offering TEQSA-accredited qualifications. For prospective students, that means studying with a provider that is legally recognised, independently regulated, and approved to award genuine Australian higher education qualifications.
