LIHE Summer Semester 2026: Key Dates, Exams and Results
Lead Institute of Higher Education (LIHE) is pleased to announce that we are offering a Summer Semester. It's a great opportunity for our existing students to take extra units so you can catch up on your study plan, lighten your load in future semesters, or finish your course sooner.
Who can enrol in the Summer Semester?
The 2026 Summer Semester is for current students only. You're eligible if you are enrolled in Semester 2, 2026 and your intake was one of these:
- 1 September 2025
- 2 February 2026
- 13 July 2026
It isn't open to new students. Not sure which intake you started in? It's on your offer letter and in the student portal, or Student Support can confirm it.
Enrol by Tuesday 10 November 2026, the last day to enrol in Summer Semester units.

When does the Summer Semester start?
Classes begin on Monday 16 November 2026 at our Parramatta campus. If you're new to LIHE, this isn't your start date. See “New to LIHE? Start in February 2027” below.
Is there a break over Christmas?
Yes. There are no classes from Monday 21 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, a two-week break over Christmas and New Year. Teaching resumes on Monday 4 January. Exams come in February, so a little revision during the break makes January much easier.
When are Summer Semester exams?
Formal exams run from Monday 8 to Friday 12 February 2027. Exam timetables are usually released a few weeks before the exam period, so watch your student email.
When will I get my results?
Results will be released by Friday 19 February 2027 and will be available in the student portal.
What happens after Summer Semester?
The February Semester begins on Monday 22 February 2027, one weekend after results come out. Use that week to confirm your units for the next semester so you're ready on day one.
New to LIHE? Start in February 2027
The Summer Semester is for current students, so if you're a new student your next intake is February 2027. Orientation is on 16–17 February, teaching starts on 22 February, and the last day to enrol is 5 March 2027. Look through our courses, check the entry requirements, or talk to our admissions team.
